Reesa Howell and Family

As many of you may already know, our family is deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Reesa Howell who passed away this last Wednesday, August 17th at 8:30 AM at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Reesa was 37 years old, she had been battling illness all her life but always seemed to bounce back during the worst of times but this one time…God called her home.
Life for Reesa was not just a series of events, coincidences and happenings. It was a beautiful tapestry of living, enjoying the things of life that mattered and making the most of what she had. Her life centered around her 3 boys, Tristen, Oren & Gunner, who meant everything to her. Reesa along with Justin her partner worked hard to support them and make sure they had what they needed. Unfortunately, like many of us… saving money was not possible and insurance was a luxury she could not afford. Because she was a fighter, she never thought that her family would be without her. Reesa went through so much when it came to her health and every-time she was knocked down she got back up and kept fighting. Even through all of her challenges in life ….Reesa always had time to bring joy to others and had time to do the little things that she loved like walking through graveyards and reading epitaphs, reading and watching “True Crime” books and tv. Most of all we all loved to share her joy of Halloween through her awesome posts that brought many a OHHHH and WOW when scrolling social media. Reesa was just a unique soul with an aura that caught us and held us all captive!
Trying to imagine life without our Reesa is pretty painful right now. Because her death was so fast and unexpected we are now trying to wrap our brain around how we are going to pay for her burial expenses and the welfare of her 3 beautiful boys who have lost their mama. Reesa’s better half, Justin is beside himself and at this time does not have funding to pay for the burial costs. Roger and Becky, her mom and dad are also experiencing difficult times within their families and grief of the loss of Reesa is almost more than they can bear.
It was suggested by a friend that the family reach out to her friends with a Go-Fund me, online to help pay the cost of burial, around $ 3000. and possibly a little more to go toward the the care of the boys who are getting ready to start school. Nothing is cheap now-a-days and being Reesa had so many friends we should be able to raise a little funding to help her family who are beside themself right now. Justin and her immediate family would truly appreciate this during this very difficult time in their life. No-one should have to worry about how they are going to bury their loved one when they are dealing with so much grief.
Reesa we love you… and don’t worry, we will make sure that you receive a proper burial and your boys will be taken care of. Rest In Peace, sweetheart…. you lived a good life and we will miss you.
If you are able to help with 5, 10, 100 dollars or more, please do and thank you!
If you can not donate, sharing helps tremendously as well!!
