Any help will be greatly appreciated in getting our sweet Baby Reese to her final place of Rest. The money will be used for funeral, burial and the medical expenses. Here’s her story as written by Dad & Mom. . ❤️
Well, here she is. Reese Eleanor Lewis, born on 12/14/2023 at 5:18pm. Her story, unfortunately, doesn’t have the happiest ending and it’s one that she doesn’t deserve. Her book deserved to be a lot longer than 11 days but life doesn’t work that way. After a growth scan because the doctor’s thought the baby seemed about 1.5 weeks larger at the time it was concluded that she had to be delivered in an emergency C-Section due to having an acute onset of Fetal Hydrops. So instead of Providence hospital where we initially were set to have her, the high risk neonatologist called to both Children’s and Mott so we could have her at a Level IV NICU…we were scared and uncertain of what was going on because a week earlier everything was fine. I would’ve traded places with her in an instant, without a single thought. But again, that’s not how life is…we don’t get to make these choices. After 11 days in the NICU of ups, downs, and every emotion you could think of…she decided it was her time on Christmas to leave us. All we know now is that we have the most precious angel looking over us. We love you Reesey girl. 12/25/23.
