Since September 2020, Funky Town Fridge has fed the funk. Funky Town Fridge is a mutual aid organization dedicated to eradicating hunger in the city of Fort Worth by placing community fridges in neighborhoods experiencing food apartheid. All of the fridges are free and accessible 24 hours a day. The City of Fort Worth has listed us as a resource during the pandemic. We were able to provide over 500 meals and 500 care packages to families during the winter storm of 2021 and we feed approximately 3000 people each week.

We are officially launching our “Refill The Fridge” Campaign. Our goal is to raise $80,0000 to purchase a building as well as a van. We are asking all community members who are able to commit to a contribution of $5, $25, or $50 at our Kick-off Block party on March 11, 2023!
