Refinecltv - Juneteenth - Chicago Black biz fund

In the last few weeks, the attacks on Black lives in the U.S. have been magnified by the murder of George Floyd and the activism spawned from it. In addition, COVID-19 has spotlighted the racial discrimination in the healthcare system, specifically in Chicago, with  African-Americans making up only 30% of its population, but 60% of its COVID deaths.

Juneteenth: Honoring the Past, Supporting the Future is a series of donation-based virtual events delivered by some of the most talented Black business owners in Chicago. These small business owners are volunteering their time & talents for these events and 100% of proceeds will be donated to participating Black-owned businesses. Refinecltv felt the responsibility to celebrate freedom amid uncertainty in the Black community, and financially support black-owned businesses while doing so.

This fundraiser and initiative is hosted by Refinecltv  (@refinecltv on Instagram ). We are a digital community that makes it easy to find & support woman & minority-owned businesses + freelancers. We have nearly 200 businesses listed in our directory, and that number is growing by the day! If you have any questions, please reach out to ib@refinecltv.com
