Regarding the Murder of Daniel Tveidt

I feel like our family was robbed. I am Dan's sister and I live in Vancouver, WA. Dan was an amazing, patient father to his 4 children, Jessi, Payton, Jenna, and Porter. He wanted nothing more than to be a good dad to his kids. They were robbed of their father last night (October 17th) when my brother was shot multiple times while up Canyon Creek in Yacolt, WA. The suspect fled the scene. We have been asked if there is a go fund me multiple times so we decided to make one.  After a rough patch, Dan was starting to turn a new leaf and after many years, he was finally able to start spending time with his children again as his ex-wife has kept the children away from him for a very long time. Being a father was his biggest joy in life. He was an outdoors man and wanted to teach his kids everything he knew. He took pride in passing his knowledge down to them. It is a tragedy to say the least. He was taken too soon. My fiancé and I have taken in his two girls and seeing them go through this is the hardest thing I have ever done. This money would help with future expenses like college funds for his children, braces, and anything else that may come up. Daniel had dreams that his children would be able to do what they want and lead successful happy lives. As of now, we do not know what kind of bills we will face moving forward but I can imagine that it will be a light burden on top of everything else for our family. Dan was my big brother and he would have done anything for me and the rest of his family. I can hear him now saying not to make this go fund me. He was so giving but hated asking anyone for help. He was stubborn and prideful but I know in the end he would be grateful for the help to his children.
