Reggie: My Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Reggie and I'm a 2years old Rhodesian ridgeback.

About a month ago, my mother found out that I had something strange in my abdominal area. Right away, she took me to see my doctor, and she said, "We had good news on the lump today. There is no indication that it is cancerous. The cytology on the aspirate shows just red and white blood cells and no abnormal-looking cells. And the radiographs show no invasion into the chest cavity and no evidence of cancer in the chest. This is great! The most likely cause is that she pummeled in to something and it area really took a bruising. The lump will take some time to resolve - maybe weeks.

We also trimmed her nails and cleaned her ears while she was sedated.

If, at any time, you become concerned about this, please do reach out. And we really should schedule a recheck for your other dog with chin dermatitis.
We appreciate your trust as always".(07/08/22).

To my mom and my surprise, the lump didn't disappear. It grew very fast, and against my doctor's advice, two weeks later, my mom asked to have it rechecked.

This time, the results were concerning.
"I found several populations of cells on the slides of the aspirate of Reggie's mass that were not just blood cells. I cannot be sure what they are, so I am sending them out for a pathologist to evaluate them. We should get the report back by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Try not to worry." (07/22/22).

From that date on, my mom tried to get me to an oncologist, and nobody had time to see me. My parents were desperate, and they faked an emergency and took me around 11:30PM to a specialty center, and because of that they saw me on the Friday, 4 days later 08/05/22. The diagnosis was that I had no much time left to live.

My parents wanted to try all possibilities available to save my life, and they got me an appointment at Virginia Tech with some excellent specialists that ran a lot of exams on me.

They showed us that what we can see outside is the "tip of the iceberg". The
re is three times more mass inside me.
They are planning my procedures, but the costs are very high. Until now, my parents have already spent more than they could afford, and by my mom's perseverance, she got me part of the treatment donated by a research team from Canada but still very expensive.
So I'm doing this fundraising to save my life. We need to reach USD35,000.00
I'm a sister, daughter, and niece full of life, and with your help, I hope to continue with a loving family.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Below are pictures of my family and me.
