We are posting this with permission from Reggie’s family. If you knew Reggie, you knew he loved baseball. He loved to watch but he really loved to play, spending hours at the batting cages and of course he was a die-hard O’s fan. On September 12, 2021, Reggie suffered a freak, tragic accident while playing with his beloved baseball team, the Drury Giants. We are all still in disbelief but we take solace that he died doing what he loved. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the players and fans who were at the game that day.
Reggie loved to use sports as a way of impacting the world, and worked tirelessly to make the aspirations of those around him a reality. Regardless if that aspiration was something as simple as making a layup or graduating from college. Reggie coached youth basketball in Belcamp, MD for over 10 years and shared his love of the sport and his passion to positively influence young people. Undoubtedly, Reggie’s pride was 2 beautiful daughters, his oldest (India) is a senior in high school and his youngest (London) is in the 4th grade. He was that guy that never missed an event. He was a huge supporter of his family, friends, community, and a proud Morgan State alum. Many people have asked how they can support his girls during this incredible loss. This GoFundMe will benefit India, London, and any unexpected final expenses. Thank you all for the prayers and support of Reggie and what he loved most, his family.
