Reggie's Recovery

Our dear friend and amazing human being, Reggie Ogletree, is in critical condition at Kaohsiung Chang Gung General Hospital. After having an accident in Kenting on Saturday, June 24th Reggie was rushed to the ER in Kenting and then transported to Chang Gung General Hospital. He broke 2 vertebrae in his spine (C6 and C7) and recently finished a 10-hour spinal surgery.

The best-case scenario is that Reggie will regain the use of his arms and be able to sit up independently. However, he has most likely permanently lost the use of his legs. In the following months, Reggie will receive rehabilitation in a special wing of Chang Gung Hospital and will be unable to work.

Although the insurance will cover some treatments, there are still co-pays for special treatments and surgery. The surgery alone is costing over 10,000 USD above what the insurance covers.

We ask all friends and loved ones that are willing and able, to donate to this fund to help Reggie deal with this new life-changing reality and the financial costs that come with it.

We have a current goal of 100,000 USD and there will also be several fundraisers in Kaohsiung in the coming weeks and months.

As we know more about his condition, we will continue to provide updates on visiting hours and how he may need support.
