Hi, my name is Regina and I’m raising money to buy a new wheelchair-accessible car that I can drive. I was born in 1991 with Spina bifida, a condition that has significantly impacted my life since birth. The journey hasn't been easy, but it has taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of cherishing the good days amidst the challenging ones. One of the greatest challenges I've faced has been transportation. I've had to rely on others to get around for my entire life. This dependency has often left me feeling like a burden, a feeling that I've struggled to shake off no matter how understanding and supportive those around me have been.
But now, there's hope on the horizon. I've discovered a wheelchair-accessible van that would not only accommodate my wheelchair but also empower me to drive myself. Imagine that! Me, Regina, finally having the chance to venture out into the world independently, to visit friends, run errands, and simply enjoy the freedom of being behind the wheel. It's more than just a vehicle—it's a beacon of independence, a symbol of empowerment, and a dream of mine that's finally within reach.
However, it comes with a price tag of $30,000—a sum that is currently beyond my means. So, I'm turning to you, my friends, family, and even kind strangers, asking for your help to make this dream a reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to gaining the independence I've yearned for all my life.
I don't want my journey to be defined by Spina bifida. Instead, I want it to be a testament of resilience, determination, and the power of community support. With your help, I can drive towards a future where my physical limitations don't define the boundaries of my world.
I believe in the kindness of people and the power of collective action. If you can, please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others. Your support means more than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering to support my journey towards independence. I am forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.
With hope and gratitude,
Regina Thompson
