Rehabilitation for Gabriel's Brain Injury

Hello my name is Deyvid Diego, I am the son of Gabriel De La Cruz. My father, who has a family of five, is a hard-working man who is always there to help out his friends and family. Unfortunately, on September 14, 2021, My father had a Traumatic Brain Injury due to a mountain biking accident and was admitted to Sharp Memorial Hospital. For two weeks, he was in the surgical intensive care unit in a coma until he woke up on October 1, 2021. He was then moved to a regular room, where he spent the day gaining consciousness. After my father was able to show the basic needs of breathing on his own and swallowing food and water, he was discharged from the hospital on October 14, 2021. However, due to the traumatic brain injury, he has difficulty remembering his past, speaking, walking, and cognitive abilities. My father will soon start rehabilitation which will help him get back or improve the abilities that he needs for his daily life. We hope my father can continue his rehabilitation by asking for donations to pay for his bills. My family and I would be so grateful.
