Rehana Gulam Engineer (aged 43)

‎إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ‎‎ِ

*Tribute to a caring, loving mother, daughter, sister, wife and auntie Rehana.*

Rehana: a loving, young mother who left this world, returning to the Lord Almighty Allah SWT, leaving behind two young girls, a loving mother of her own, brothers and sisters. Rehana was an inspirational woman who put others first before her own comforts. She always thought about the sick and tried to help to the best of her ability. She did not have much, but she had a very big heart. Always greeting everyone with a smile no matter how young or old. Her charming and pleasant personality won the hearts of everyone that met her.

Anyone who knew her knows how she always put everyone before herself, and her Akhlaaq was something that we could all look up to. She was good to everyone around her, helped out anyone she could in any situation, honoured her guests; respected her elders and youngsters. She was sincere, patient, truthful, had full faith and trust in Allah, and truly was there for a lot of her family during the most difficult times in their lives. She continuously filled others glasses, often leaving her own empty.

Masha'Allah she had many siblings old and young whom she loved dearly and left behind including nephews and nieces, who she nurtured and mothered and who some themselves have now become parents. What quality she must have possessed that The Creator, Allah SWT, liked that he took Rehana from this world on the blessed day of Friday and in the month of Muharram? We all pray for such a *death in *Makkah, Madina and a death of Friday* Only the fortunate one is blessed. *May Allah grant us the same with Imaan (Ameen).* There will be a big jigsaw piece missing from the lives of Rehana's daughters. She was not only a mother, but she was also a friend to them. *May Allah SWT grant them sabr e jameel and protect, guide & make them strong young girls.* A gap that will not be filled but it will be deeply felt by all her family and friends. May Allah SWT elevate the status of our Marhooma Rehana to the highest abode of Jannat Al-Firdous and we pray that she passes through all the stages of barzakh swiftly and with ease.

Rehana will always remain in our hearts and in our prayers and sadly be missed.

Sadaqah Jariyah means a continuous, flowing and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed therefore, we have decided to build a deep water well in her name.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seven deeds of a servant continue to be rewarded after his death while he is in his grave: knowledge to be learned, constructing a canal, digging a well, planting a date-palm tree, building a mosque, handing down a written copy of the Quran, and leaving a righteous child who seeks forgiveness for him after his death.”

يا الله ، يا رحمان ، يا رحيم.

اللهم صلي على سيدنا محمدن وعلاء علي صاي دينا محمدن وبارك وسلم.

“I’ll miss your kindness and your love,

I’ll miss your happy smile,

And I promise that every single day

I’ll remember for a while,

We shared something truly special;

Something that can never be replaced,

A bond that the years can never fade,

Memories that time cannot erase.

To lose you brings so much sadness

But know that you live on

In our hearts and in our memories,

Shines the gliding light you shone,

So rest now softly, angel

In your eternal place

To have called you my Masi, I was truly blessed”
