Reid Lovstrom Biathlete Travel Expenses

My name is Reid Lovstrom and I am a biathlete training full-time with the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre in Canmore, Alberta.

I have competed in biathlon for 6 years. After a big year - where I competed at the World Youth Championships in Slovakia and had strong podium results at the Canada Winter Games, the Summer North American Championships, as well as many NORAM cups – I am so thrilled to be onto my next, biggest adventure yet.



I have qualified to represent Canada at the Junior World Championships in Switzerland as well as the International Biathlon Union Race Series 6 in Germany in January and February 2020 (departing on January 20, 2020). Wearing our Maple Leaf is a life-long goal come true, and I am so proud to have the honour of competing for my country again!

There is no funding available to attend the World Championships so I am raising money to offset the costs of traveling overseas for these races. The cost of the Junior World Championships, German tour and expenses is $7,500.00.

I am looking for financial donations to help me make this dream happen. In addition to my full-time training, I have two part-time jobs. However, the expenses of this trip are beyond my personal means.  Any money raised supplemental to the expenses of this trip would go towards offsetting ongoing training fees and further competitions in this season.
