Help Dr. Li Recover from Auto-immune Disease

Our beloved professor needs your financial support. Dr. Qingxia Li, a professor of Mathematics, has devoted his entire career to helping people of color and underserved minorities build careers in STEM. Given his remarkable talent, he could have pursued other careers but instead decided to teach at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). His first employment was with Lincoln University (an HBCU in Missouri), and he is currently at Fisk University where he has been for the past six years. Many people of color have been blessed by his selfless devotion to imparting knowledge.
This summer, Dr. Li was on a research visit to his home country China, with the hope of coming back to the United States to continue his collaborative research project with his students. Two weeks before he could return, however, he was hospitalized because of an autoimmune disease. Unfortunately, Dr. Li does not have any Chinese health insurance, and as a result, he has had to pay for his medical bills out of pocket. The good news is that after an intense 10-week battle with this disease, Dr. Li is gradually recovering and has been discharged. Unfortunately, his lengthy hospitalization has cost him tens of thousands of dollars, which has significantly drained his coffers. And because he has to continue to purchase medication and undergo a lengthy rehabilitation training, his ordeal is far from over.
As debilitating as his health condition sounds, it is even more disheartening for Dr. Li to see all his savings drain away. It is in light of this adverse incident that this GoFundMe has been created. This drive is to help him offset some of the bills he has had to pay while hospitalized. We believe in numbers, and that small contributions from a great number of donors will be enough to make Dr. Li financially stable again. Please donate as much as you can no matter how insignificant you may think it is, and please share this across all platforms. We really appreciate your unwavering support and assistance in this process.
