Relief for Families Impacted by Tropical Storm Eta

The devastating tropical Storm Eta has caused extensive damage and loss of life throughout Central America. 

This fund is being run by PartnerHero to benefit our employees in Honduras as well as their families and communities who experienced loss as a result of the storm.

This fundraiser does not include the funds that PartnerHero is directly applying to support relief efforts. It is designed for members of the community who are able to contribute additional funds required to make a larger and faster impact on our community in Honduras.

We are providing 3 forms of support:

(1) Emergency Relief and Rescue Efforts, including transportation, shelter, food, water, and basic needs. (Some of this will be done outside the fund, with direct support form PartnerHero.)

(2) A Home Relief Package (costing ~$1,000USD per family affected) for families that need to rebuild their homes lost due to flooding.

(3) Additional Relief Funds as available to families with additional needs, based on an application form available to all PartnerHero employees. Employees can apply on behalf of themselves, their families, and members of their community directly impacted by the storm.

Any funds available after the three main forms of support are covered will be donated to registered charities who are providing direct relief to Central Americans impacted by Tropical Storm Eta.

How funds will be distributed:

Our President & COO Heather Casey will be withdrawing funds in our US account and transferring the funds to our Honduran team on a rolling basis. Our SVP of People Operations Laurie Lemieux be working directly with the Honduras leadership team who is coordinating the relief effort. Funds will first be distributed to Honduras employees who were directly impacted or whose families were impacted, to cover things like shelter (hotel rooms), food and water, basic necessities, and household items. Initial distributions will go to those with urgent needs and subsequent distributions will benefit those who need to rebuild their homes.

An Impact Summary that details how funds were distributed will be shared with all contributors within 10 days of the final funds being distributed.
