Relief for Jamie Sander

Hi, my name is Emily, Amy's Niece. I've been in close contact with her about Jamie.
You may have heard that on February 26th, Jamie had a heart attack. He has been in the St. Cloud Hospital ever since. He had to have bypass surgery on March 2nd due to multiple blocked arteries. He was put on a ventilator and is still currently on it. The surgery went well, had 5 bypasses. During his recovery, he has been sedated to keep himself comfortable. With his oxygen being so low, they decided to put a camera down his tube to see if there was mucous causing the low oxygen level. The doctors ended up finding mucous on both lungs, so did a CT scan and found out he had pneumonia at the base of his lungs. The CT scan also showed a blood clot in his lung. On March 4th, the doctor said his heart and liver were looking good. Through all of this, Jamie has been strong and shows Amy he can follow simple commands-so that's great news! On March 6th, he did a bronchoscopy to check his lungs to see if there was any blockage or crud. With his oxygen level being so low (54), they need to keep the ventilator in. On March 7th, the heart doctor mentioned he thinks it's hospital-acquired pneumonia from laying around before surgery and contracting germs. They did another CT scan. This CT scan showed the base of his lungs is full of crud-worse than what it was before. This week, he has been getting better at communicating and being more alert. Today, March 9th Jamie took a big leap and started to sit up in bed and he stood too!
With Jamie being in the hospital for almost 2 weeks now, he has been out of work and will continue to be out of work throughout his recovery. If you would like to assist with his financial burden, any donations would be greatly appreciated! All funds raised will go directly to Jamie and his family. If you would like to donate outside of gofundme, Venmo is available. With Jamie not having it, Amy is willing to use hers. Venmo is @Amy-A-9751
On behalf of Jamie, his family, and Amy, we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past couple of weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come!
