Relief for Kacy during her son’s hospital stay
On May 15th our friend Kacy’s 16 year old son was found unresponsive in Billings. Billings PD stated they provided life-saving measures and after, he was transported to Billings Clinic. He was then ventilated and Transported to St. Vincent’s PICU where he is currently recovering.
At this time we have few answers as to what happened but we do know that he has a long recovery and may need months of treatment after his care in the PICU.
While the family does have health insurance for most medical expenses, Kacy will need to take time off to assist in rehab and therapy. The two private ambulance rides that were required are currently not covered by health insurance.
Kacy has worked consistently at a hospital during these crazy times and despite her long hours, she doesn’t receive sick time or vacation pay. It is estimated at this time that Kacy will need to take at least two months off and possibly longer.
Our hope is to help Kacy to focus on her son and other children and not money during her son’s recovery. Every single dollar helps and if you wish to help in another way please feel free to reach out.
Thank you to the dozens of people who have reached out to help, who have sent thoughts and prayers for Kacy, her son and her other children.
