Relief for Monet

This is a fundraiser for Monet Young and her family! After the unexpected loss of two children, Monet found out she had heart conditions and needed to have open heart surgery recently. 

This is a past message from Monet about her pre diagnosis, she has since her post had the surgery and is recovering well! Her post:

Family and Friends,

I have been keeping this on the down low until we got some more answers, and today we did. While I was in the process of delivering Laney, my heart rate went up to 300 beats per minute. Rapid response was called and they were unable to get my heart back to normal, so they completely stopped my heart and restarted it. We were told that I have SVT, Supraventricular Tachycardia, it’s very common in younger people. They put me on a medication to control the fast heart beat (beta blocker) and they scheduled me to see a cardiologist.

During the appointment today, we were told that technically I had a mild case of SVT and that I could stop taking the beta blocker and not worry about surgery. As we were walking out, the doctor asked that we come back in. He asked if we ever heard of WPW, Wolff-Parkinson-White, which of course we had not. He Noticed on my EKG that I could potentially have WPW and he is concerned that I could drop dead at any moment. We agreed to have surgery and to possibly have a pacemaker be put in. As in right now, we are waiting for the scheduler to call to set up a surgery day.

As Monet did have insurance to help with the surgery, they are unsure at this time what the out of pocket expense will be. This fundraiser is to offer relief for Monet in the form of whatever may bring healing and maybe a little warmth to her and her family at this time! Perhaps even give them a little cash to take a well deserved vacation or something of that nature!
