Relief for North Braddock Fire Victims
Donation protected
Hello Everyone, I am Mara Mynahan, a resident of the 1700 block of Grandview Avenue in North Braddock, Pa. Last night around 10pm on November 19th, a large 3 alarm fire erupted across the street from my house. About 4 homes were destroyed, including a garage that my family kept our work truck in, and our beloved garage shop dog, Maggie. Multiple people lost everything last night, nothing could be saved, not even our Maggie.
Aside from my own family losing things, some others like I said, have lost everything. All the residents are safe and alive, some are a bit burned and shaken up but they will be okay. I wanted to take this time to raise money for my dear neighbors, who are mostly deaf and or/disabled and are now displaced and unhoused, likely without much or any funds for hotels/motels or new clothes, phones, even food. I love my neighborhood and I love the street I live on. I love my neighbors and want to do everything I can to either help them find new housing, new clothes, shoes, computers or electronics that may have been lost that they use for work, doctors appointments, keeping in touch with family, etc. I also plan to use a portion of the funds to get my family a new work truck as well, being as that was their only source of income.
Anything and everything is appreciated, being as this just happened 3 days before Thanksgiving and other winter holidays, I'm hoping I can bring some holiday cheer and hope back into my neighbors lives. I will also be accepting other physical donations of coats, gloves, hats, etc.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read, share, or donate.
God bless and Happy Holidays!
