I am creating this GoFundMe to provide financial relief for Jose Cardenas' wife and three daughters who tragically lost their father, husband, and the breadwinner of their family on June 12th, 2021.

Jose was born and raised in Oakland, graduated from Life Academy in 2003, and made his career as a baker working at Arizmendi for the last 15 years . If you ever knew Jose, you knew that his smile could light up a room. His passion for biking, baking, building, and fishing was infectious and he was loved by so so many.

On Saturday, June 12th Jose's life came to a sudden and tragic end, leaving his family and everyone who knew him shocked and devastated. Jose leaves behind his wife, Ruth, and 3 daughters, Maya (17), Naomi (6), and Luna (4). The family needs financial assistance to keep their house and pay bills for the next few months while they deal with their immense loss.
