Relief fund for Libby Jacobson
This campaign has ended. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who donated, shared this fundraiser, or sent kind words to Libby. Your generosity and love will forever be cherished.
On December 2nd, Libby's entire home and all of her belongings were swept away in a massive landslide in Haines, Alaska. Far worse, her partner and love of her life David Simmons went missing and has still not been found. This GoFundMe is to help Libby replace just some of what she has lost.
David and Libby cherished their house and property that they made into such a special home. They spent countless hours landscaping with local materials, harvesting salmon and deer, gardening, and being together in each other's love. Their pride in their home was so evident and led them to always open their doors to others. Friends and family often gathered at the Full Moon Cove for beach bonfires, dance parties, dinners, and so much more. From the moment you arrived at their home you could feel the immense love and joy from their union. These times were the happiest of Libby's life.
All donations from this GoFundMe will go directly to Libby Jacobson. There are other relief fundraisers for the town of Haines and for Walker Blair, who lived on the property with his sweet girlfriend, Jenae, who is also missing. Please consider donating to these as well if you are able and please send as much love and light as you possibly can to the Haines community.
Hold your loved ones close and take care of one another.
