Relief Funds - Super Typhoon in Philippines

Hi, my name is Neil Wayne Corpuz and I am from Bohol and Cebu Philippines, two of the most affected provinces during the recent super typhoon that hit Central Philippines.

I am organising a relief effort to help the victims after the typhoon Rai (Odette) ravaged the island of Bohol and Cebu, Philippines.

My family in Bohol and friends in Cebu who were also affected but are now safe will be handling this effort directly so your money would go straight to those in need. Due to infrastructure damages, it is difficult to get water and food. No electricity, cell sites are down and difficult to communicate with them as they need to go to certain places to find signal. Some people even have no place to sleep as their houses were severely damaged. It is such a difficult time for the people in my hometown as this is their first time to encounter such a major destruction.

I can't afford looking at the photos how devastated my hometown is and I really felt the need to stepup to help and initiate a fund raising program to help more.

Our collective efforts will make a big impact to their lives.

The plan is to help with food and necessary things through this difficult time for approx. 50 families in Cebu and another 50 families in Bohol. Any amount will do. The funds raised will be accounted properly and inventory of purchases together with the receipts will be posted here.

We will do another funding once we've analysed the full damage of each of the household. Perhaps we can help with purchasing simple materials for the houses such as roof and wooden boards for their houses.
