A community is defined as a group of people that care about each other and feel they belong together. In uncertain times like these, we must rely on one another to stay strong within our own community. Millions of business owners are facing financial challenges and are struggling as a result of the global pandemic; WE can implement change! The Highland Park High School "HP Microloans Club” in partnership with the City of Highland Park have created a Small Business Relief Fund in our community of Highland Park, IL to help provide financial assistance to our town’s restaurants and other businesses that we enjoy on a daily basis. These businesses need our help with expenses related to operating during the coronavirus pandemic.
This GoFundMe initiative brings our community together to provide financial support in the form of grants to businesses. With your support, we can enhance the impact of our contributions. Any donation to help local businesses will help to fund expenses for things like PPE and other expenses that businesses are experiencing during the pandemic. Grant applications and business qualification information will be made available to Highland Park businesses in July, 2020. The size and number of grant awards is dependent on the amount of money raised through this initiative. Grant applications will be reviewed by a panel representing HP Microloans Club members and City representatives. Funds will be kept in a bank account at First Bank of Highland Park and will be distributed to businesses following the review and approval of applications. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this GoFundMe to as many people as you can. Together, we can make a difference!
