About the Project
"Remains" is a senior thesis project of the horror genre written, directed, and edited by Dylan Clark. After bringing home the ashes of her infant son, a mother begins to believe that there’s something alive inside of his urn.

The Team
Dylan Clark - Writer, Director, & Editor
Dylan Clark is a filmmaker with a passion for writing and directing. Most of his work explores the horror genre including “Portrait of God” (2022), “Rest” (2021), and “Transfigure” (2021). Many of these short horror projects can be found on his YouTube channel, where Clark has amassed a sizable audience. Some of his work has won awards at national film festivals.

Jacquelyn Chin - Producer
Born and raised in New York City, Jacquelyn Chin is a senior Cinema Production major at Ithaca College and an award-winning filmmaker of over six years. She is a jack(ie)-of-all-trades with a background in screenwriting, cinematography, and sound design. Now, she mainly works in production management. Some of her recent works include “Kung Fu Panda 4” (VisDev & Layout Production Intern), “cake!” (Producer), and “Red Winter” (Associate Producer & Co-Director of Photography).

Juliana Luis - Producer
Juliana Luis is a senior Cinema Production major at Ithaca College. Her work as a producer extends from Ithaca College’s Television Station (ICTV) to the award-winning short film “YourOwn” (2020). Her most recent projects include “Of Sound Mind” (2022) as a producer and “60 Second Docs” on YouTube as an assistant editor.

Sydney Brumfield - Assistant Director
Sydney Brumfield is a senior screenwriting major from Philadelphia, PA. While Sydney's interests rest primarily in writing and acting in film, she is passionate about all elements of the filmmaking process. Some of her recent work includes “Angles 'n' the Outcast” (2022), “Portrait of God” (2022), and “The Donna and Dale Show” (TBD). Sydney was thrilled to be a part of this team and loved every minute of watching this short come together.

Taylor Teusch - Director of Photography
Originally from New York City, Taylor Teusch has been a director of photography for over 5 years, and a production designer for two. She has a passion for visual storytelling, with experience not only as a cinematographer but also as a production designer, costume designer and technician, and still photographer. Her recent work includes “Let's Talk About Jane” (Director of Photography), “Dinner Date” (1st AC and Second Unit DP), “Into the Woods” (IC Theatre Department, Costume Technician), and “interiority” (Director and Director of Photography).

Surina Belk-Gupta - 1st Assistant Camera & Script Supervisor
Surina Belk-Gupta, from California and Texas, is now a senior film major and Park Scholar at Ithaca College. She focuses predominantly on short horror filmmaking and hand-drawn animation, her two biggest passions. She loves all things creative and spooky—testing her hand at any kind of filmmaking she can, mainly in writing, directing, and camera. She worked as a film columnist and interviewer at Flaunt Magazine and, this last summer, as a Production Assistant for Amazon Studios. She is thrilled to have worked on another terrifying tale with Dylan Clark and looks forward to more scary stories to come!

Andrew Caffrey - Gaffer & Post-Sound
Andrew Caffrey is a New Jersey and New York-based filmmaker whose primary level of expertise is in the camera/lighting departments and post-production. Some previous works are "Portrait of God" (2nd AC and Grip), "King of the World" (Director of Photography), and "Shipyard Goons By The Grace Of God" (Writer/Director).

Jenny Taher - Lead Actress
Jenny Taher is a New York City-based actress, filmmaker, and writer. She’s been performing since one of her parents' friends pointed to bee at the age of 8 and said "wow, what a ham." The rest, you could say, is history. She’s known for other works such as “Monday’s Child” (2019), “American Daddy” (2018), “Those People” (2016), and “House of Pancakes” (2013).
