Remember Me ~ Tribute to Briana Jones ~ Age 19
To All of My Amazing People,
It is with great honor and immense heartbreak that I sit here writing this today...
For those of you who do not know me, I am Briana Alexandria Jones' godmother. I am forever grateful to her mother, my soul sister, Sancia McNulty, for trusting me with such a great responsibility that I embraced with all my heart and soul.
As many of you may know, and for those who do not, our butterfly was transcended into an angel on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at only 19 years of age.
Briana was born prematurely, yet even then, her presence was larger than life! I remember holding her as a newborn, thinking she was so tiny, so precious, so innocent, and yet she had this fierceness about her. It was as if even then, she wanted the universe to know she was here and was ready and willing to take on any challenge life threw her way, and she did...her tenacity was inspiring, her joy was addicting, and her love was intoxicating.
Her essence was magical, and anyone blessed to have known her, even if only a brief moment in time, knew how genuine, kind, loving, thoughtful, and compassionate she was. Her energy was so pure, and it radiated all around her. No matter what type of day you were having, when she smiled at you, it was like getting a reboot, and all of your worries and stress melted away. She always made the best out of every situation and never took life for granted.
She must have fallen 30 times on her birthday while learning to skate, and each time she got back up with a smile and even more determination than the last time to get down!
Though her life feels short-lived, we can find comfort in the knowledge that she is now in the loving embrace of her guardian angel and her favorite person in life, her grandmother, Sancia's amazing mother, Ms. Linda Brown. They are both angels watching over all of us and will forever light our paths in times of darkness so we may always find our way.
This world truly is a better place because her grace touched it. The imprint she leaves behind through the lives she's impacted as if she lived 100 lifetimes.
Briana was larger than life, and her essence continues in our memories and through our kind and loving actions.
We ask anyone who has a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, or a close friend whom this story has touched. Please assist us in honoring Briana's life by sending her home with the joyous celebration she deserves.
We know she wouldn't have had it any other way!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please be kind to your loved one as tomorrow is never promised.
