Remembering Alejandra Recordando a Alejandra

Dear friends and family: One of our beloved mothers, Alejandra Gomez, passed away on 01/08/2024. Alejandra touched the lives of everyone around her. She was a wonderful mother to her four children, Gerson, 19 years old, Alexa, 6 years old, and her two other older children who live in Guatemala, whom she today leaves alone with a broken heart after her departure.

Alejandra dedicated her life to working for her children. She immigrated to the US with both of her children a few years back. Alejandra and her son used to work selling food on the weekends to support their family's needs. But ever since she got sick they stopped working.

The Gomez family is devastated by Alejandra’s loss and they were not prepared. The family wants to send Alejandra back to her native Guatemala, so the rest of her family can also say their goodbyes.

We, the Spanish Speaking Citizens' Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, are currently asking for donations to help the family during this difficult time. Currently, this is the only GoFundMe page approved by the Gomez Family.

Please help us raise $10,275 by February 15, 2024, in order to be able to cover the costs of medical bills, food, housing, and other ongoing family needs. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the family.

Queridos amigos y familiares: Una madre de familia muy querida Alejandra Gomez, acaba de fallecer el día 8 de enero de este año. Alejandra tocaba la vida de todos los que la rodeaban. Fue una madre maravillosa para sus cuatro hijos, Gerson de 19 años, Alexa 6 de años y sus dos otros hijos mayores que viven en Guatemala a quienes hoy deja solos con el corazón roto tras su partida.

Alejandra dedicó su vida a trabajar por sus hijos. Ella emigró a los Estados Unidos con sus dos hijos hace unos años. Alejandra y su hijo acostumbraban a trabajar vendiendo comida los fines de semana para apoyar las necesidades de su familia. Pero desde que ella enfermó dejaron de trabajar.

La familia Gómez está devastada por la pérdida de Alejandra y no estaban preparados para el alto costo de un funeral. La familia quiere enviar a Alejandra de regreso a Guatemala, para que el resto de su familia también pueda despedirse de ella.

Nosotros, Spanish Speaking Citizens' Foundation, una organización benéfica sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3), estamos pidiendo donaciones para ayudar a la familia durante este difícil momento. Actualmente, esta es la única página de GoFundMe aprobada por la Familia Gómez.
