Remembering Alex: A Beacon of Joy

On Thursday at 12:15 am AEST Alex Yurkiv lost control of his motorcycle and fatally crashed.

Alex was deeply loved by all of those around him, everyone felt like they were his friend even if they barely knew him. He had a way of bringing light to every place he visited with his smile and his amazing sense of humor. He very much loved music and leading other people to God. Though our hearts break when thinking of the fact that he's gone, we are even more sad for the people that never met him. The people that never got to experience the joy that was spending time with him and listening to him play the guitar. He changed the lives of the millions that listened to his music. He would not want his death to be remembered as another tragic accident, instead he would want people to see the story of his life and be inspired. He fully pursued God in his life and did not allow anything to stop him from making his dreams into reality. When we think of him we will always remember him laughing with a guitar in his hands. Any funds left after funeral expenses will be donated to support his greatest dream, missions, and the spread of the gospel to those who need it most.
