Al was born, raised, and lived his entire life in El Paso, Texas, a city he served with dedication. Al was loved by many and cherished his long-lasting friendships.

For 36 years, Al was an employee of the 911 Emergency Communications Department for the City of El Paso. His service to his community will always be remembered. Al loved this town and was proud to be from El Chuco.

Al’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Luevanos-Ortega; his daughter, Aliana Jimenez, and son-in-law, Seth Jimenez; his stepdaughter, Diana Luevanos-Barrera, and son-in-law, Jim Barrera; his stepson, Joseph Gomez, and daughter-in-law, Alejandra Gomez; and his grandchildren, Joseph (JoJo) Gomez, Nathaniel Jimenez, Zoe Barrera, Sophia Jimenez, and Kai Barrera, along with many other relatives and friends.

Al had a passion for watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. His laughter, wisdom, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
