Remember and Honor Eric Thomas Vanaman

Donation protected
Edit: $3,000 Goal met, thank you all so much for all the love and the donations! Raising the goal to $5,000 in hopes of helping alleviate travel costs for family to the memorial scattering in Pennsylvania this summer, and in the hopes to get a memorial stone or sculpture built in remembrance of Eric.

Eric Thomas Vanaman passed away on January 2nd, 2025 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He lived a good life of service and loved by those around him. Eric was an ambulance attendant, 911 dispatcher, a fire fighter, a fire policeman, and a Boy Scout troop leader in Lancaster and Millersville, Pennsylvania, among other duties throughout his life, including, most recently, volunteering at Portland Pay It Forward food pantry in Portland, Tennessee. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing, and survivalist techniques. He strove to learn anything he could do with his hands and loved teaching all he learned to educate the next generation. He is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Glenn; daughter and son-in-law, Keri and Paul; 2 grand children; sister, Elise; and brothers, Bob and Kirk.

Eric will be cremated and wishes to have his ashes spread in his home town in Millersville, Pennsylvania.

His family is collecting donations to aid in this goal and greatly appreciates all contributions and thoughts and prayers.

Thank you very much.
