Remembering Anne Marie
Donation protected
Anne Marie Gieske was born and raised in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. She was known and loved by so many in the community from things like being in and helping out with the Beechwood band to being a devout parishoner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Anne Marie Gieske’s faith, kindness, and love for others was a beacon of light to all those she met. She always had a passion for caring for others and went to the University of Kentucky to study nursing.
In the fall of 2022, Anne Marie was living her dream, studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea- a country whose culture she cherished. Just five days after her 20th birthday, her beautiful life was tragically cut short in the Itaewon crowd surge.
To honor her memory, four of Anne’s closest cousins are taking a memorial pilgrimage to South Korea. We will be walking in her footsteps, visiting the places she loved, and celebrating the light she shared so freely.
Anne once wrote in her prayer journal: “Life can be too short. I need to make sure I show love towards everyone and everything.”
Your support will help us keep her light shining, inspire others through her story, and ensure her legacy lives on. Donations will be used for travel expenses in order for our family to attend the memorial service in Seoul.
