Remembering Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss

Ryan Knauss made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. His service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. Alena, Ryan's wife, would like to thank anyone who is willing to share or donate in Ryan's memory in advance. Per the request of many that have wanted to donate, our family has set up this fundraiser to support his wife financially during the time of her loss as well as any expenses that arise for a variety of memorial services. 

A message from Alena: These past few days since the passing of my husband have been a whirlwind. My mind's first and only thought has been getting Ryan back home to where he belongs. I am, in the best way, overwhelmed by the amount of love and the outpour of support from all of those who held Ryan in the highest regard.

During this time I have had so many people reach out to me personally to extend their condolences, each of you asks what you can do during this time. My family and I have set up a GoFund Me campaign in Ryan‘s name and any amount that you all wish to be donated should be sent to this account. I do not have words to express the amount of gratitude I have for the community, and the kindness that you all have shown my family along with myself during this time cannot be repaid. I wish to thank each and every one of you for keeping and guarding my husband‘s memory. Thank you for keeping his name alive and holding a place for him in your hearts.

My name is Rebecca Mckinney and I am Alena Knauss's first cousin. Alena has given me permission to start this fundraiser on her behalf and she is the sole beneficiary of all the funds raised. The funds will be going to help pay for travel costs during select memorial services, help support Alena's mortgage on the home that she and Ryan purchased together, and to help cover any additional monthly bills as she is now on a single income.
