Remembering Bob Farley

Hi, my name is Pam Zielinski. My friend of over 30 yrs unexpectedly lost her husband yesterday. I met Kelly Farley back in 1989 when we worked together as therapists at UTMC for the first 5 yrs of our careers. Kelly and her husband Bob were dating at the time. I have been through a lifetime of everything with Kelly. Her and Bob fostered kids for the past 30+ years, welcoming them into their home, giving them the love and warmth they deserved and adopting many of them! They were unable to have children of their own, so I was a surrogate for them 21 yrs ago, giving them a son to raise. All of these kids have had Bob as a stay at home dad for most of their school years, with Kelly working full-time. Bob had health issues, starting with dealing with diabetes, which eventually caused him to have to have a kidney transplant over 20 yrs ago. Then this past Feb, he had to have another transplant, which started more health issues, including problems with his heart. Bob spent the past 1 1/2 yrs in and out of the hospital and was back in this past week. What his family did not expect though, was for him to go into cardiac arrest yesterday and pass away. The hosp staff performed CPR on him for a long time, but God had other plans. The family is now struggling emotionally and financially. Kelly is now left with 5 boys to raise and finances will be tough, but the biggest obstacle right now is to be able to give Bob a proper funeral service. Please, any of you that know Kelly knows that she has the biggest heart and would do the same for anyone else.
