Remembering Brandi Cowans

Over the weekend of April 3, Brandi Cowans suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a partner, and a friend, and the world is a little dimmer without her in it.
Those of us at Snagajob were lucky enough to have her as a fellow Snagger for nearly 7 ½ years. She was dedicated to her customers, and she was a wickedly funny, deeply empathetic friend and coworker to so many. She co-lead the Women@Snagajob group, where she empowered her colleagues through frank, spirited, and sometimes tearful discussions, all made richer by her own enthusiasm and vulnerability.
While we knew her best as a Snagger, Brandi’s work at Snagajob was just a small part of who she was. She was passionate about her work as a doula, helping other women navigate their journey to motherhood. Most importantly, she was a mother to Elijah, who turned 18 just a few weeks ago. She wanted nothing more than for him to succeed, and we want her legacy to live on by helping make that happen.
We are committed to Elijah’s future, and will be establishing a fund for his continuing support and education needs. Because so many people cared about her, we’re opening this to give all Snaggers, Snagajob alumni, friends, and family an avenue to contribute to this. We will partner with Elijah and his family to ensure these funds are distributed in a manner that will foster his future in a way that Brandi would have approved of.
