Remembering Brandon: Random Acts of Kindness

On January, 18th 2021 I lost my best friend and fiancé and Grayson and Kennah lost the best father they could’ve ever had while on duty. Brandon’s loss was mourned nationwide and we were supported by close friends and family and even complete strangers from just about every single state. The amount of love that was received was humbling and meant the absolute world to me. I know Brandon found comfort knowing we were being given so much love! His family was the most important things in his life!!

Every year, on MLK Day, the kids and I will honor Brandon’s memory by doing random acts of kindness. Starting on Brandon’s birthday (October 12th) I will start fundraising so that on MLK Day we can take those funds and complete random acts of kindness. I want the kids and myself to always understand and remember how amazing people were to us and be able to give back that love and support to others. Brandon was all about giving and would give everything he had to someone who needed it. 

Some of the random acts of kindness will include:

•Making individual care packages for police officers

•Leaving gift cards around stores/on people’s cars

•Donating money to organizations

•Giving generous tips

•Supporting families who have also lost a loved one or went through a tragedy

I know that y’all are amazing and are going to want to help. However I would love for this to be a tradition that I keep going with just myself and his kids. If you would like to help with this I have set up an Amazon wishlist for materials we may need for police care packages as well as a GoFund Me. I will post what we end up fundraising and then share what the money goes towards so that everyone knows that the money is all going towards our random acts of kindness!
