Remembering Chris Hines

My name is Brittany Hines, eldest daughter of Christopher Paul Hines. As many already know, my siblings Robert, Jordan, Taylor and I lost our father tragically and unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 23, 2023. Our father had battled with mental illness for the most part of the last 30 years. Many times he was able to come out of it with the support from his friends, family and loved ones, but unfortunately this time the disease won. He left behind a legacy of life, love, and friendships as he touched and made a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. My father was one of a kind. Irreplaceable. His smile could light up a room. It’s hard to even put into words how many people my father touched with just his presence. If there was family, or live music, dancing, a fish fry, a family reunion, a grandchild’s birthday party, he was always there. He never missed an opportunity to be surrounded by his loved ones. He was the life of the party. His love for music just poured out of him. Any time he could, he was dancing and singing. A trait he had passed down to me. My brothers and sister and I are shattered. Our hearts are in pieces. Devastation is not even a word that comes close to describing the pain and hopelessness we feel from the loss of our dad. Golfing was his passion, which he shared with so many people, especially his son Jordan. But it was his love for Jesus Christ that reminds us he is in a better place and no longer suffering. With this tragic and unexpected loss, we are scrambling to put the financial pieces together to put my dad to rest. All the while still trying to grieve and process losing him. If you can find it in your hearts to ease this burden, we are forever grateful.
