Support us- Remembering Cody Mullins: A Gentle Soul

Donation protected
With a heavy heart and a shattered future I regret to share the very unexpected and sudden loss of my oldest son, Cody Austin Mullins. He touched the lives of those who came in contact with him in many ways. Cody had a very kind way of helping and showing he cared for others, especially his family. There was no way to know we had come to the end of his journey here on earth. We are all still in shock as we attempt to piece ourselves back together.

As we try to cope with the emotional weight of this loss, we’re also facing the financial burden of paying for funeral and cremation expenses. It’s a lot for us to handle right now and we’re asking for help to cover these costs.

If you are able, any donation would mean the world to us. Your support will go directly toward covering:

Funeral and cremation services
Memorial services
Any additional expenses related to his passing.

We understand that times are tough for many people and if you can’t donate please consider sharing this page or keeping us in your thoughts. Every little bit helps and we’re so grateful for any support you can give during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us honor my son’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves.

With Love and Gratitude,
Sonya

Cody Austin Mullins, born on July 23, 1996, was a quiet yet deeply caring soul who left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. He passed away on May 15, 2024, under circumstances that remain unknown. Cody's personality was as rich as the colors he loved—especially red—and as vibrant as his favorite meals, from spicy dishes to steak, stuffed peppers, spaghetti, and pizza. He had a sweet spot for Mountain Dew and never turned down a good Sci-Fi movie like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or Star Wars.

Though Cody wasn't into exercising, he found joy in the simpler pleasures, like playing video games and spending time at home—his favorite place in the world. Home, for Cody, wasn't just a place; it was where his heart was, with his family. His protective nature showed how deeply he loved them, always putting their needs first.

Cody had a way about him that made him stand out, an "old soul" with the manners of a true gentleman. He was the kind of person who’d open doors for others and go out of his way to help. Once, he assisted an elderly woman with her groceries, and when she offered to pay him, he kindly declined. His patience and quiet strength were evident in everything he did.

A proud graduate of Wellston High School in 2014, Cody later joined the U.S. Army in 2017, where he began his service at Fort Benning, GA. His commitment to his country reflected the loyalty and dedication that defined his character.

Cody’s love for life, family, and simple pleasures will forever be remembered. He may be gone, but the memories of his kindness, humor, and deep love for those around him will live on.
