Remembering Corey: Support His Family
Donation protected
Some very dear friends, Gen and Eddie Thompson lost their 35-year-old son Corey earlier this morning (12/18/2024). If you live within a 50-mile radius of Perrysville, Indiana, then you know Corey! Corey was a fierce lover of his family and friends, always asking how they were, and adored his 4 nephews! He loved going for golf cart rides around town and camping with family, listening to his favorite country music stars, Toby Keith and Luke Bryan, watching NASCAR, working in the shop with Eddie and Uncle Larry, and spending "guy time" together. Corey was so proud that he was an honorary member of the Perrysville Volunteer Fire Department and took his job very seriously. Corey traveled countrywide in a semi when he was younger and got many great experiences. If Corey loved you, he teased you, one of the many things he picked up from hanging out in the shop with the guys and time spent on the road.
Gen is the true definition of a mother. She has fought for Corey and his healthcare rights since the day he was born, every step of the way! She is a warrior alongside Corey. Her love and devotion for Corey is so very apparent to anyone that knows her. She is also someone that has helped her community in so many ways, so let's rally around her, Eddie, and their children and family during this difficult time.
A year and a half ago, Corey had a 6-month period where he was in and out of hospitals. That kept Eddie from working very much because he needed to be with Corey and support Gen. He was in and out of Methodist in Indy, Clinton, and Terre Haute Union Hospital until Dr. Jaffries from Union Terre Haute figured out the problem and fixed it. Needless to say, during that 6 months, it was financially and emotionally overwhelming.
We would love to help the Thompsons during this time to ease their financial burden of doctor and hospital bills, along with funeral expenses, while allowing them to focus on their emotional well-being and grief over the loss of Corey.
