Remembering Darryl

James Darryl Braswell was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather. He tragically passed away unexpectedly on August 10th, 2018.
Darryl was a superhero to all that had the opportunity to know him. He loved deeply and took care of everyone.
On October 15th, 2017 he was in a traumatic motorcycle accident. He was thrown 200 feet from impact. He was in the level 1 trauma ICU for 89 days. He was given a less than 5% chance to live and if he did live he would need Palative care. He was on a ventilator, he susatained 12 broken ribs, a broken shoulder, back, two broken arms, head trauma, a broken leg, a ruptured spleen, a ruptured bowel that turned necrotic, he was septic twice, his kidneys and liver had failed and he was receiving Dyalisis on a daily basis. He also had pneumonia 3 times while in the hospital. He had several other ailments.
Despite all odds against him, he overcame. He was sent home walking and talking with his family that adored him on January 12th, 2018. He still had a long road to recovery. He had his right arm amputated and was in the process of having a functional prosthetic made, he was also awaiting surgery to repair his broken left arm and close up his skin grafted abdomen. Yet, he continued to try, he continued to push to do what he could do be there for his family. He spent valuable time with family through his recovery process.
Through all of the obstacles put before him he overcame them for his family, his loved ones. On August 10th however, God was ready for him to join his side in Heaven. He no longer will feel the pain of his injuries, he will no longer ache and struggle.
We, his family however, struggle to be strong in this time of loss. We struggle to overcome the abundance of medical bills, unexpected death costs, and we struggle to move forward. Our hearts and our spirits are broken. We ask for your prayers and positive vibes and for donations if your heart sees fit to help my widowed mother overcome the obstacles that she will now face.
We love you all and we thank you for your comfort in this time of heartbreak.
