Donation protected
Greetings Friends and Family,
My name is Ashley and I am Dawns niece. As you may know our beloved Dawn passed away on Tuesday December 24, 2024 on Christmas Eve at Avera McKinnen hospital in Sioux Falls due to a valiant battle with cancer. Dawn had stage 4 cervical, bladder, and uterus cancer and her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Dawn’s Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10-11 AM and her Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM at the Hamilton funeral home in Marshall, MN. The link for Dawns funeral can be found below. https://www.hamiltonfh.com/obituaries/dawn-thompson
The Thompson family is absolutely devastated by Dawn’s passing and we are struggling to find the funds to cover some of the costs of her funeral service. Dawn served her country in the United States Air Force for 4 years from 1986-1990 and worked as a CYP Youth Director at the Grand Forks AFB until she retired. She devoted 33 years of her life to the Federal Civilian Service and she was very proud of her time in the military and being able to work with Children in her career. She has received many awards for her accomplishments and dedication to serving her country. Many people that knew Dawn would describe her as one of the most genuine, caring, and compassionate souls they’ve ever met. She would do anything for her family and friends as well as strangers. Dawn was a remarkable woman and one of a kind.
Our Family would love to provide Dawn with the best service possible and be able to honor our Veteran. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We would greatly appreciate any donations. Thank you!!
Love,
The Thompson Family
