Remembering Dennis & Lora Carver

Donation protected
On the night of October 16th my parents, Dennis and Lora Carver, were in a tragic and fatal car crash. They were loved by all who knew them and will be missed forever.

One of the last conversations I had with my mom and dad was about how on the night of the Las Vegas shooting, she was Facebook messaging back and forth with the great people from the Temecula Bike Train. She saw a post about a little boy that was riding around on an old, unsafe bike and she couldn't believe this was happening in our own town. Once she got back to Murrieta she went out and bought this little boy an awesome new bike, met up with the Temecula Bike Train and anonymously donated it. She never wanted any recognition and only even told me this almost 5 days after it happened.

While telling me about this my dad was just laughing saying things like "yeah that's what your crazy mom was doing while we were all panicking watching the news" and she responded "yeah well it took my mind off it" then proceed to show me the picture of the little boy with his new bike, just glowing from within. Her happiness was infectious. She then told me "it's gonna be my new hobby, I'm gonna go around and collect bikes it's gonna be my little project".

I can remember this conversation so vividly, it was only 3 days before their crash.

Me and my sister have been receiving so many questions about us accepting donations, and we decided we want to give people the opportunity to donate to kids that are truly in need. My mom was so excited and my dad was so supportive about this, and me and my sister want to be sure to make that dream a reality.

With this money, me and my little sister will be purchasing bikes to donate to the Temecula Bike Train and serving underpriviledged kids in the Murrieta and Temecula area. One of our goals is to get 50 new bikes for this amazing organization.

Our parents were the most generous and happy people, they lived life to the fullest. They always taught me and my sister to work hard, play hard, be someone others can rely on, and always give back. We know they will be so grateful for every single donation, none too small. Brooke Carver's Facebook Post
