Remembering Elizabeth Kristine Smith

My name is Meri Munn, and my purpose in posting this campaign is to help my cousins, Elizabeth's parents, Kyle and Raechel Smith, heal, support them in paying the mountain of medical bills, funeral expenses and ease the trauma of not having their sweet baby to hold. Most of all, this perfect little angel's fight to get a body, even just for a few minutes, needs to be told.

On January 30, 2022, everyone went into surgery confident that they would be celebrating a birthday. The doctors, NICU team and other specialists were there. Elizabeth came out at 2:32 am, and the doctor said, “She is beautiful! And she’s a little feisty one!” Thinking the danger was over, the doctors put Raechel to sleep. Kyle had to watch helplessly as the NICU team tried their best to keep Elizabeth breathing. He said, "I've never seen anyone work that fast or that hard in my life." At 3:19 am, they had tried everything on this end, but sweet Elizabeth couldn't stay.
