Remembering Emma Dufresne

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

This page is to remember Emma Dufresne and provide for future hope for her son - Jayden, and husband Solomon.

Emma was born a preemie in June 1998 in Brenners Childrens Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.  She attended charter school at American Renaissance elementary and middle school in Statesville, NC. She later attended Statesville High, and moved to Winston Salem to attend Mt Tabor, and West Forsyth High Schools.

During her late middle school years, Emma suffered through a difficult trauma that challenged her life. She had her son, Jayden at 16. She become a young wife in 2016.

At the heart of Emmas struggle was prescription drugs, she attempted to self-medicate the pain away. But, it doesnt go away without extensive support, and counseling. In early 2021, she went into treatment for Xanax addiction. As a family, we believed that Emma had beaten those challenges, but sadly she had not. She lost that battle  and passed in her sleep, Tuesday November 21, 2023.

She leaves behind her husband, Solomon and her 9yr old son Jayden.  All donations will be used towards providing for Jayden’s education and a portion will be donated to support the Brenners Children’s Hospital, and drug counseling and support here in Winston-Salem.

Thank you,
Emma’s Dad
