Remembering Evelyn Rodriguez

Evelyn Rodriguez, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, and friend to many, who became a vocal advocate for victims of gang violence after her 16-year-old daughter Kayla was brutally murdered, has died after being struck by an S.U.V. — just before a memorial service for the second anniversary of her daughter’s death. Evelyn will be remembered as the woman who died fighting for her daughters and never gave up. We the family and friends are asking for your help in sending Evelyn home to her Father and Daughter. Words can not express how we are feeling today. You were a leader, an advocate, a mother, a friend to many. You will be truly missed. Our community is stronger because of you. We will continue to advocate for a better Brentwood. #brentwoodstrong
Evelyn was a dear friend of mine and many of you. The funds will be used to help pay for burial expenses. I will be in charge of withdrawals and in charge  of the delivery.
