Remembering Jack Watkins: Keeping the Beat Alive

On Thursday, April 25th, our beloved Jack passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep. His departure has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts and in the Arlington community. Jack was not just a father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, or friend; he was a beacon of generosity, a cornerstone of the local music scene, and a mentor to countless musicians.

Jack dedicated his life to nurturing talent and spreading joy through music. Whether he was performing on stage, supporting local artists, or sharing his wisdom with aspiring musicians, his passion for music was infectious. Beyond his musical contributions, Jack was deeply involved in his community, actively participating in alumni networks from Lamar High School and UT Arlington fraternity, Sigma Nu.

As we come together to honor Jack's memory, we aim to celebrate his life in a manner befitting his spirit—overflowing with music, laughter, and the warmth of cherished company. However, the suddenness of his passing has left us in need of assistance to ensure that we can give Jack the farewell he deserves.
