Remembering Jackson with Love

Early this morning on July 22nd around 1AM my youngest little brother, Jackson Andrew Smith, sadly passed away. He was a shy, loving, caring young man with so much more to discover and experience in life. He is a firm believer in God and Jesus Christ and is now on his way to meet Him, along with our other relatives and friends over the years. The time he did have on this Earth and the people he met over this time meant a lot to him. He didn't seem like it but he was somewhat of a lover of nature, old school music from rap to grunge, often wearing a 90's shirt with tie-dye. The times you could get him to laugh and smile were rare but it's something we will always remember and cherish. I wish I knew more to say at this time but it is hard to find the words without attempting to see through blurred tears.

My mother, father and I have received lots of love over the past hours and more will continue to come over the following days. We appreciate all of the love and condolences. I have had several requests and offers to do something to assist or help us out. If you feel inclined to assist us during this unfortunate process, it would be greatly appreciated and mean a lot. Please do not feel obligated! All donations in the coming days will be solely used for Jackson's upcoming funeral and expenses.

I will edit or add to this over time depending on how this goes as well as what occurs in the following days. We will be keeping most of you up to date on my mother's Facebook, text, phone, etc. If possible I will also post the information about any visitation or funeral, however, this has not been decided on at this time. Please keep my family in your prayers and allow us some space to grieve and get some things situated.

We love you all and hope you will remember the good times you had with my brother. Rest peacefully Jackson, we love you and miss you more than you will ever know.

UPDATE (07/24/2023):

The 1st goal of $3000 was made incredibly quickly which I didn't expect. The 2nd goal of $5000 was reached as well. Increasing the amount as I never anticipated it reaching above the 1st goal so quickly. Thank you all so much!

UPDATE (07/25/2023):

I am increasing the amount since we visited the funeral home and now have a better idea of what we are expecting. We also have had multiple people worried about donating after the goal is reached or exceeded, please do not worry about this. The goal can exceed the amount 10x over or more and it will still be the same percentage.

As far as I am concerned the goals have been reached, and I am eternally grateful for this. It is just amazing how many have shown support, love, and more over the past few days either via donation, kind words or just a simple like showing us you are aware of the situation and are thinking of my brother and my family. Thank you all so much.

UPDATE: (08/07/2023):

Thank you to everyone who was able to give towards Jackson's Service, Memorial, Visitation and more. So many people have done so much for us during this time I can never say or do enough to repay you all; we appreciate all the love and support through these unfathomable times. With this being said, all of your contributions have nearly covered ALL of the expenses for the Funeral Home, and we are forever grateful for it. With this GoFundMe completely serving its purpose I am now closing it. Again, thank you for your love and support. It means the world!
