Remembering Jake: A Beloved Son and Brother

Our dearly beloved Jacob "Jake" Thayer, was taken too soon at the age of 34. He was loved by many, including his parents, three sisters, and one brother. The eldest child in the family, his struggles took nothing away from what a gentle and caring soul he was, and his memory will be carried by those who knew and loved him. He also leaves behind a big family, full of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are grieving this tragic loss.

He loved movies, shows, and music. He could talk your ear off about some of his favorites. Quiet spoken until you got to know him, once he let you in, your life was all the better. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, these candles that burn the brightest are shorter lived, but leave the biggest impact on those lucky enough to witness and share in its fleeting beauty.

Of Mexican decent, he now joins the Ofrendas of his family members, to join them each year for the ongoing celebration of the lives of other loved ones who have passed on. Those who pass never leave us and our family will continue to honor and celebrate his life and impact.
