Remembering Jared Mayes: Support for a Legacy Lost

So many of you have reached out to me to come together to help us in this time of grief. In memory of our beloved Jared Mayes, it is with a mix of sorrow and gratitude that we come together to celebrate the life of an extraordinary individual who touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Jared was more than just a basketball player; he was a beacon of joy, kindness, and infectious positivity. His passion for the game was rivaled only by the warmth he brought to every interaction. Whether on or off the court, Jared had a unique ability to uplift spirits and create a sense of unity among those around him. Jared was a cherished member of our community, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jared touched the lives of many with their exceptional talents, infectious spirit, and unwavering dedication to their sport. As we mourn the loss of a bright star, we also recognize the importance of supporting one another through the difficult journey of grief, especially when grappling with the complexities of mental health.

In the wake of this devastating loss, we are reaching out to establish a memorial fund dedicated to honoring Jared's memory and we are reaching out to establish a fund that reflects the joy and love he brought into our lives. The funds raised will go towards supporting Jared's family with funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and any associated costs.
