Remembering Jason Naylor: Support Lynette, Logan, & Brayden
Donation protected
My name is Stephanie Loftin, and I created this GoFundMe in the memory of my brother-in-law, Jason Naylor. He and and my sister, Lynette, would've been married 20 years next June. They were blessed with two sons, Logan (15) and Brayden (12). Jason loved life, but more than anything, he loved his family. He enjoyed going on family vacations, taking his boys 4-wheeling, teaching his boys how to repair different things, and just spending time together as a family. The funds raised would go directly to helping out Jason's family pay utility and medical bills, as well as to help provide for his family.
In the fall of 2017, Jason's family rallied around him as he bravely fought Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Jason endured 12 rounds of chemo, but he took them like a champ! He was declared cancer-free, and our families were overjoyed for his new, healthy lease on life!
Unfortunately, after being cancer-free for 3 years, Jason's cancer came back in the summer of 2021. It was a shock to everyone because Jason had been so active and feeling better than ever. This new diagnosis would prove to be difficult, as he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that metastasized to his liver. Jason and Lynette immediately knew that intense care would be needed to fight this evil battle, so they decided to have Jason receive treatment from the University of Chicago. Jason's doctors once felt that surgery to remove the cancerous sections of the liver would be an option, but a major blood clot changed those plans and put Jason on the liver transplant list. While on the transplant list, Jason would have many highs and lows. He suffered through multiple abdominal infections with fluid build-up, multiple bouts with sepsis, weakened strength and mobility, and endured 75 rounds of chemo in his lifetime. In all of this, he always tried to remain upbeat for his family, kept on working as much as he could, and continued to be optimistic that a liver transplant would be in his future.
However, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Jason earned his angel wings after suffering from sepsis one final time. Lynette, their boys, Jason's family, and our family were all there to say goodbye. We told Jason we loved him and thanked him for the wonderful life he provided his family with. If you are able and willing, please donate to Jason's family to help them through their terrible loss and to help keep Jason's memory alive.
