Remembering Joe Murphy

As we all try to understand and process the sudden passing of our dear friend, Joe Murphy, we want to do something that Joe would cheerfully tell us, yeah but no thanks. And that is to help his family through these unexpected heartbreaking times.

It is touching to see the comments being posted by his friends in South Carolina. Joe and Becky made a leap of faith several years ago leaving friends and family in New Jersey and built a beautiful life adding long lasting friendships. The comments are exactly how his friends and family in New Jersey and other places would describe Joe. He was a devoted and “best friend” to so many people, for many of us over several decades.. So many memories of Joe will remain in our hearts, from the most significant (weddings, trips, etc.) to the simple heartfelt conversations over drinks. Joe cared, he cared about you, he cared about your family and he was always there for you no matter what the circumstances. Joe’s love for his wife, Becky, and their dogs was evident to all who knew him.

There is so much more to say about Joe but we would encourage you to remember him and add your own favorite stories below. He had such a great sense of humor and is likely looking down and annoyed by this sappy write up but that is where we are right now Joe. We wish we could take the pain and sorrow away from Becky and his extended family. We love you and our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
