Remembering John Kiel - Memorial Fund

Donation protected

It is with a very heavy heart that my mother, brother, and I inform you that my Dad, John Stephen Kiel, unexpectedly passed away early in the morning  on August 8th, 2019. This came as a shock to our whole family as well as the entire community of Florissant, MO.

John Kiel was loved by all. He was the heart of his family and the heart of his community. For those who knew him, knew that he was the nicest that a person could get, a true genuine soul. When he smiled, the world smiled back, and he made the world a better place. He strived to put a smile on every persons face that he met. He never met a stranger. John made everyone feel welcome, accepted, wanted, and loved. His positivity, go-get-it attitude, and high spirit was contagious.

John was the most amazing man this world had. He had the biggest heart, sweetest smile, and most goofy, fun loving personality. He cared so immensely for his family and everyone who came into his life.

John was a hard working, honest man, who made this world a better place. John has touched so many lives. If anyone needed anything, he was there for support and to help. He was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, a warm meal to eat, and a big hug. He was always happy, laughing, and with a high spirit no matter what. Whenever John was asked about his life and what was going on, he would always respond with "Life Is Good". He always saw the good in everything, the good in life.

John was an active member of our community. He served in the army and was proud to have served his country. John was very involved in helping out with his son Ethan's boy scout troop for years. He was very instrumental in assisting boys in achieving their Eagle Scout status, his son being one. And was apart of the Friends of Veterans.

He was an avid fisherman, a master griller, a passionate gardner, and a huge fan of the Blues and Cardinals. He also loved nature and hiking.

Silly, mischievous, generous, caring, fun-loving, positive, outdoorsy, kind, proud, a leader, considerate, adventurous, ambitious, brave, strong, charming, sincere, helpful - just a few things that describe John.

Please allow our family the time to grieve and heal, for this is a very hard time for all of us.
If you are considering donating money to help us take care of these sudden and unexpected expenses, we would really appreciate it; anything helps. Thank you.
