Remembering Jose Hernández III

On May 26, 2021, Jose de Jesus Hernandez, III lost his life during the tragic events at the VTA Light Rail Facility.

He was an extraordinary son, brother, and friend full of life.

Whether it was through coaching the girls soccer team, or modifying vehicles, he was always willing to extend a helping hand. As a guitarist in his church’s youth band, he provided encouragement to many.

His love for adventure showed through riding his motorcycle and playing soccer. He was an avid skier, boater, and master mechanic.

Jose will be greatly missed by many, especially his family.
